Aesthetic Treatment of Benign Skin Lesions
Some skin lesions, although medically harmless, can be perceived as unsightly or bothersome in daily life. At our clinic, we offer simple, quick, and effective solutions to safely remove them.
What is a benign lesion?
A benign lesion is a skin abnormality that poses no health risk. Diagnosis is always made by a dermatologist to ensure it is non-cancerous. However, these lesions can still cause discomfort or affect appearance.
Our treatment techniques
Depending on the type of lesion and its location, different approaches may be used:
Shave excision or curettage: a quick technique to remove the lesion from the surface.
Electrocautery: removal using controlled heat from an electric current.
Liquid nitrogen cryotherapy: destruction of the lesion using extreme cold.
These procedures are performed in the clinic, under local anesthesia if necessary, and generally do not require downtime.
Please note:
These interventions are considered cosmetic, meaning they are not medically necessary. Therefore, they are not covered by RAMQ. However, they can greatly improve comfort and the appearance of your skin.
